Aura's House is a great charity ran by a friend of mine, Kristen Palana. I accidentally stumbled onto these guys in the summer of 2005 and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Every single penny donated goes to the intended recipients. Check them out!

Fredd Kambo on the other hand is a good friend from high school. A strong bond holds us together, "The brotherhood of the Uji" ... very similar to what would be "The sisterhood of the traveling pants" only very manly ... . He now holds a fancy job at Shell in London. Even though he works for the devil who sucks my wallet dry he still is an okay dude.

Paul is a good virtual friend of mine ... meaning I met him on the web, caught onto his blog mainly because he is an American living in Kenya. He authors his exploits and offers interesting everyday life musings that remind me of how much I miss home. I recommend this as a better assessment of what the expected experience of traveling to Kenya would be as an American. If you keep reading that Dept. of State travel advisory stuff you may never leave the US. They should call it the Dept. of State "I am gonna scare the hell out of you" advisory

Monique DeBose ... The name by itself is a summary ... the kind of name meant to be adorned by flashing lights and the likes. Monique makes great music, jazzy neosoul lovey kind of stuff. I envy that she gets to travel the world while I constantly discover new thumbtack holes on the walls of my cubicle. I could have sworn that a couple of these holes formed the image of the Orion constellation ... BUY HER ALBUM, on ITunes or off her website

You knew this was coming. Of course I had to endorse NSBE, The National Society of Black Engineers. I have been involved with NSBE for a while now, since 2002 and I am loving every minute of it. Meeting tons of people, getting a chance to make a positive change and all that good stuff. I am currently the VP of the Silicon Valley NSBE Alumni Extension Chapter and I author this blog. Check it out Yo!

Will Sitch ... not forgetting Sara Sitch. What can I not say about Will ... this is one great dude. I remember a while back he was gonna get Victoria Secret to sponsor his "attempt" to break the land speed motorcycle record all gowned up in nothing but a ... you guessed it ... Victoria Secret thong! All part of the ongoing fur-o-dynamic debate.
